beadedstream partners with Oceania Advisory Services for Australia and New Zealand expansion

Anchorage, AK, December 2025 – beadedstream is pleased to announce a new partnership with Oceania Advisory Services that  our temperature monitoring technology to Australia and New Zealand. Nathan Luzny, Managing Director of Oceania Advisory Services, will represent beadedstream’s digital temperature cables and remote monitoring systems to operators across both countries.

This partnership represents an important expansion for beadedstream. Our systems have been proven in cold-region operations across the Arctic and Antarctic, monitoring permafrost and supporting infrastructure in extreme cold. Australia presents the opposite thermal challenge with its high-temperature environments, particularly in remote mining operations and environmental monitoring sites. Both thermal extremes require reliable, continuous temperature data in harsh, remote locations. The same precision and dependability needed for preventing permafrost thaw in Alaska applies to managing heat-related risks in Australian desert mines.

Nathan brings extensive technical expertise and established relationships throughout Australia’s mining, environmental, and infrastructure sectors. His network includes resource operators, environmental researchers, and engineering consultants who need reliable temperature monitoring solutions. This positions the partnership well to address the specific challenges operators face in the region.

The partnership will focus on several key application areas. In mining, key applications include heap leach operations in desert climates, tailings dam monitoring, acid mine drainage detection, and underground mine safety. Environmental applications include monitoring rivers, waterways, and coastal ecosystems affected by climate change, as well as harmful algal bloom surveillance in warming waters.

Nathan has been actively engaged with the environmental monitoring community, particularly around harmful algal blooms. The recent South Australia algal bloom demonstrated the need for better monitoring tools to understand and predict these events. Continuous temperature data provides researchers and coastal managers with a critical foundation for understanding water column dynamics where these blooms develop.

Nathan Luzny, Managing Director of Oceania Advisory Services, says: “Across Australia and New Zealand, there is increasing demand for reliable temperature data to support engineering, environmental, and mining decisions. beadedstream’s technology is well-suited to these conditions, and I am looking forward to helping operators access a solution that is both robust and field-proven.”

beadedstream CEO, Brian Shumaker, says: “I am excited to have Nathan  to help existing customers such as the Australian Antarctic Division achieve monitoring requirements for their projects.  The tougher the better!”

The partnership strengthens beadedstream’s ability to support operations in diverse climates and applications. The same technology that performs reliably in Alaska’s harsh winters will now serve Australian operators dealing with extreme heat conditions.

Australian and New Zealand operators interested in temperature monitoring solutions for their projects can contact Nathan Luzny at Oceania Advisory Services via LinkedIn or visit Oceania Advisory Services.
