Overview

Close the communication gap. For data loggers, industrial automation, SCADA, and embedded systems in rugged environments. MLink turns a beadedstream Digital Temperature Cable (DTC) into a Modbus or JSON node. Use MLink for the most rugged and space-constrained protocol conversion needs. MLink is molded in-line with DTCs at the factory.

FAQs

We provide the necessary settings and documentation to help you program the data logger but the actual programming is typically done by the user or someone familiar with the third party logger. The Recite is programmed at beadedstream with a few key settings that you need to advise us on:

Modbus RS-485 Programming:

Protocol: Choose between Modbus-RTU, Modbus-ASCII, or JSON.
Baud Rate: Options are 9600, 1200, or 115200.
Format: Select from 8N1, 7E1, or 7E2.
Address: Any value between 1 and 247.

No, the M-Link is molded onto the temperature cable during manufacturing, so it cannot be retrofitted onto old cables. It’s essential to know where it needs to be placed on the lead cable for proper installation. An existing cable cannot be retrofitted with an MLink either.

One MLink unit is required per cable.
